Chuck is tasty and economical. This cut should be cooked slowly at low heat, as this breaks down the muscle fibres and increases the tenderness of the meat. Chuck steak or diced chuck is great for slow-cooking in casseroles.

This is the best cut of meat for a massaman curry and our team will be very happy to cut to the ideal size for you.

How to cut Chuck Steak?

We think the best size to cut chuck steak to is between 3 and 5 cm (or larger).   When cooked, meat will shrink approx 25% so this larger size will shrink down to the perfect bite.  Also the cut is large enough that the meat will not dry out and stay succulent and juicy.
